Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 July 2026
The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Otakids (otakids.co), operated from Malaysia. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Otakids is for parents and guardians. You must be at least 18 to create an account. Children use the app only through kid profiles that you create and supervise — they never have accounts of their own.
The service
Otakids is a family app: daily chores with points, streaks and rewards; the Power Skills learning curriculum; a shared family board; and a public directory of kids' activities. One account covers one family, with up to 5 kid profiles.
Free trial
Every new family gets 7 days of full access, free, starting when the family is created. No payment method is required and nothing is charged. When the trial ends, premium features lock until you subscribe — your family's data stays safe either way, and unlocks again the moment you do.
Plans and billing
All plans include every feature for up to 5 kids; the only difference is how long one payment lasts:
- 1 month — RM 14.90
- 3 months — RM 39.90
- 1 year — RM 149.90
- Card (via Stripe): your plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from “Manage subscription” and keep access until the period ends.
- DuitNow QR: a one-off prepaid payment from your banking app. It never auto-renews — when it runs out, you simply pay again if you want to continue.
- Paying early never wastes days: new time is added on top of whatever you already have.
- After a paid period ends we hold your access open for a 3-day grace period so a late renewal doesn't lock your family out. Trials have no grace period.
If we change prices, the change applies from your next renewal and we'll tell you before it does. Refunds and cancellation are covered in plain language in our Refunds & Cancellation policy.
DuitNow receipt verification
DuitNow payments are confirmed by the receipt you upload, usually within minutes. We may hold a payment for manual review, and may reject or reverse access granted from a receipt that turns out to be duplicated, altered, or not a real payment. If your payment is held, contact us on WhatsApp and we'll sort it out.
Fair use and your responsibilities
- The service is for your own family's personal use — not for resale, and one family account shouldn't be shared across unrelated households.
- You're responsible for your account credentials, your parent passcode, and for supervising how your kids use the app.
- Don't abuse the service — no attempts to break security, scrape content, submit fraudulent payments, or disrupt other families.
Content
Chores, rewards and family data you create remain yours; you give us permission to store and process them purely to run the service for you. The Power Skills lessons, questions and other Otakids content belong to us — use them within the app for your family, but don't copy or republish them.
Our learning content is general educational material for children. It is not professional, financial, or religious advice.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Otakids fast and available, but it is provided “as is” — we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent Malaysian law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Otakids and ask us to delete your family's data at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts involved in fraud or abuse of these terms; if we ever discontinue the service, we'll give you notice and a chance to export what matters.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If we update them, the date at the top changes and significant changes will be announced in the app — continuing to use Otakids after that means you accept the update. Questions? Message us on WhatsApp (+60194437939).
